Gluten Free Pizza

1 cup ground Flaxseed (Linseeds – that have been ground in a coffee grinder)

1 Cup ground sunflower seeds

1 teaspoon sea salt

2 teaspoons Aluminium free baking powder

1 Tablespoon mixed dried herbs

3 tablespoons olive oil

½ cup water

Heat oven to 200 degrees. Combine flaxseed meal, sea salt, baking powder, oil and herbs together until lump-free. Add in the water and mix well till smooth. Cover with a tea towel and put in a warm place until doubled in size for about 1 hour.

Press into desired shape. Place on a pre-greased or non-stick pizza pan or in a greased pie/quiche dish. Bake for 15 minutes in the centre of the oven until cooked. Remove from oven and allow to cool until warm to the touch.

Add favourite toppings and then return to the oven to bake as with any normal pizza. I love adding sun dried tomatoes, grated beetroot, capsicum, onion, garlic, pumpkin seed, sweet chilli sauce and feta 🙂 Makes 1 medium (12in) pizza base.healthy pizza
